ACE Global Markets Limited, which manages one of the largest managing agency groups at Lloyd's with around 635 million of capacity, announced Peter Trend's appointment that became effective yesterday. A spokesman from the company said Mr. Trend brought more than 25 years of experience in the industry to ACE, including the last ten years as Generali's bloodstock underwriter.

He also set up the bloodstock division of J H Minet in 1984 where he was managing director, and spent 14 years with Chandler Hargreaves Whittall & Company, whose name is synonymous with this type of insurance. The spokesman said the appointment would help the company provide the highest level of service to clients and broaden products.
