ACE Ltd. division appoints executive
underwriter for the company's aerospace division.
Mr. Cassidy joins ACE after six years with United States Aviation Underwriters, Inc. (USAU) where he was vice president for underwriting satellite and other space related risks.
Prior to USAU, he was a founding member of The Egan Group where he was operations manager providing technical analysis as well as financial and commercial planning for commercial space applications.
His experience includes strategic planning for telecommunications and information technology infrastructure, financial and market and business analysis for aerospace clients, and engineering and systems development services.
Mr. Cassidy holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Cornell University and a Masters in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
"ACE is a recognised leader in satellite and our future growth lies in developing business opportunities in the rapidly expanding telecommunications industry,'' said ACE executive vice president, underwriting Dominic Frederico.
Mr. Cassidy's appointment comes two months after ACE combined its aviation and satellite divisions under a new aerospace unit.
