Bermuda, will market and install SunSystems software from Systems Union, the company said Friday.

UK-based Systems Union has offices in Europe, the Americas and Asia, and over 9,000 users in 160 countries.

Its SunSystems software is known for international capabilities like multiple currency translation and consolidation, as well as multiple language availability.

"Bermuda provides a highly favourable environment for international business,'' said Mr. Richard Parker, ACT's director of sales and marketing.

"And the international corporations that operate here require highly sophisticated accounting solutions. That's where Systems Union comes in,'' he commented, in a release from the company.

"Together with Systems Union, ACT will be able to support the financial management and reporting needs that our international clients require, especially in multicurrency,'' he added.

ACT was founded by Mr. Erich Hetzel and Mr. John Robbins in 1983. They have formed alliances with software vendors like Sybase and Novell and hardware companies like Compaq and Hewlett-Packard.

ACT has extended its offering from reselling hardware and software to systems integration, network management and installation services.

Systems Union is the first global accounting software developer to meet management standards set by the International Standards Organisation.
