responsibility for captive management operations in Bermuda, of Alexander Insurance Managers (AIM) Ltd.

Mr. Barnes, who started with the subsidiary of Alexander & Alexander Services Inc. as an account manager in 1986, has been promoted from vice president in charge of the financial services department.

Mr. Barnes succeeds Gail Fox, who after 15 years with AIM has decided to relinquish her operational duties to spend more time with family. She remains as executive vice president with specific client related responsibilities.
