Weatherall to the board of directors as of January 1.

Dr. Lee is chairman of TAL Apparel and his principal business interests are in the manufacturing of textiles and apparel in Southeast Asia.

He retires as a director of Mandarin Oriental and of Jardine's holding company, Jardine Strategic Holdings, on December 31. He will serve on the board in an independent, non-executive capacity.

Mr. Weatherall is CEO of Hongkong Land Holdings, and has served previously in a number of executive roles within the Jardine Matheson Group, since joining in 1976. Chairman of Jardine Matheson Holdings Henry Keswick said, "We are pleased to welcome Richard Lee and Percy Weatherall to the board, and we look forward to benefiting from their considerable business experience.'' Jardine Matheson is a multinational group of eight core businesses, focused primarily on Asia.
