Ltd. yesterday unveiled a complete online underwriting entity.

American Safety Casualty Insurance Company introduced Insurscape Inc. which will provide full quotation and binding capabilities via the Internet, in conjunction with American Safety's small businesses workers' comp programme.

It was developed by US underwriting management facility Insurance Services of America and will be available to authorised programme brokers at www.insurscape.com, the company said.

Insurscape vice president Stan Connally said it's ability to provide workers' compensation insurance quoting and binding capability would reduce the time, effort and cost of delivering the insurance.

He said it gave the company a "significant competitive edge in the marketplace''.

American Safety Insurance Group Ltd. president and CEO Lloyd Fox said the company's new ability to "harness the power of the Internet to expand its reach and reduce costs'' demonstrated its commitment to innovation.
