postponed for two weeks.

Bar equipment, a sound system, liquor and glasses from the Scandal nightclub were due to be auctioned tomorrow, but organisational problems have delayed the sale until Friday, August 27.

Property from three other businesses will also be sold at the auction -- Maurice and Mary Croke, Ira Philip and Edmund Talbot.

This will include office equipment, beds, furniture, computers, televisions, sporting goods and clothing.

Deputy Provost Marshal General Mr. Sheldon E. Fox, who made the order for the auction, the future of the club's premises was in the hands of its creditors.

As for the contents of the auction, Mr. Fox said: "There is not a whole lot left inside the club itself. We are basically talking about the bottles of liquor and the bar fittings. Usually the auctioneer will sell these items in lots.

"Because of the limited amount of items in all these cases we have decided to put them together in the auction. They have all had court orders taken out against them by creditors.'' Scandal was closed in February by bailiffs for non-payment of $62,000 owed to its landlord.
