The deal, announced last June, gave customers buying a summer ticket a winter seat for free.

BA local manager Philip Troake said residents with unused tickets have until March 31 to use them.

"Those who leave booking until the last minute will run the risk of losing out as the March 31 deadline will not be extended,'' he said.
