Overall, five issues closed down, two advanced and three closed unchanged.
Volume was moderate.
Bank of Bermuda declined 25 cents to close at $18.25 on volume of 1,289.
Bermuda Commercial Bank closed down 25 cents at $5 on volume of 11,382.
Bank of Butterfield, trading on volume of 4,532, declined 12.5 cents to close at $9.625.
SAL Ltd. led declines closing down $1 at $3 on volume of 500.
Argus declined 12.5 cents at $10.75 on volume of 150.
Bermuda Home preferred advanced 25 cents to close at $11.75 on volume of 225 while BF&M preferred closed up 25 cents at $9 on volume of 1,000.
Bank of Bermuda warrants closed unchanged at $2 on volume of 2,934.
Telco closed unchanged at $35 on volume of 1,792 while Bank of Bermuda 9% sub.
cap. nts. were unchanged at $100.25 on volume of 250 units worth $25,062.50.
The index closed down 10.51 points, or 1.09 percent, at 968.17.
Share volume was 23,804 worth $208,668.50.
Total volume was $233,731.
