BELCO looks into tree dangers

A BELCO investigator looked at the affect a single cedar tree was having on a Spanish Point street light which residents felt might have attributed to an accident in which two people died.
And BELCO refused to cut back branches that were hanging in the street light because that is the responsibility of Government's Parks Department.
The Bermuda Electric Light Company have launched an investigation into pruning cedar trees in the Spanish Point area.
On the heels of a report that overhanging branches of a cedar tree may have contributed to Sunday's double road traffic fatality, BELCO sent an investigator to the scene last night.
