Bids in for wireless phone rights

companies wanting to offer "personal communiciation system'' service in Bermuda, a spokesman said yesterday.
Mr. Ted Pitman, the telecommunications inspector, said a hearing would likely be scheduled in March.
PCS involved the use of wireless telephones, similar to cellular telephones, but "more refined'', he said.
Mr. Pitman said he could not identify the applicants until their applications were formally received.
