Bermuda, has been elected president of the North American delegation for the Relais & Chateaux chain of hotels.
Mr. Wardman will be a member of the board of directors of the French-based organisation, which has more than 400 hotels in 42 countries as its members.
Membership of Relais & Chateaux is held in high prestige in the hotel and restaurant industry.
Its members are small, independent hotels, chateaus or castles that are considered to represent the highest standards and quality.
The organisation places great emphasis on charm and ambiance when considering allowing in a new member.
Mr. Wardman is a graduate of Williams College and the Cornell Hotel School of Administration.
Two of the hotels in the Horizons group, Waterloo House and Horizons & Cottages, are members of the Relais & Chateaux. Other members of the Horizons group are Coral Beach and Tennis Club and Newstead.
Mr. Wardman will represent Relais & Chateaux in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
*** Twenty Seventh Century Boutique, which recently opened a new store on the corner of Church and Burnaby streets, has announced the following promotions: Mr. Franklyn (Bucky) Greaves has become senior manager and Ms LaVerne Zuill has become assistant manager.
Mr. Greaves has more than 14 years of experience in the business. Prior to joining Twenty Seventh Century, he worked for High Speed Wholesalers in London, gaining knowledge of the fashion industry.
Upon returning to Bermuda, he opened his own store -- Solo Fashions -- which specialised in avant garde designs. He later closed the business and went to work for retailer Aston & Gunn.
As senior manager, he will direct all facets of the store operations from merchandise selection to the boutique's interior design.
Ms Zuill has worked for Twenty Seventh Century for 14 years, starting as a saleswoman.
