Ms Coles will be responsible for marketing the 15 properties represented by BPSL at travel trade shows and Bermuda briefings overseas and will assist in all areas of marketing, advertising, sales and public relations.

Ms Coles began her career with a travel agency in London in 1978 before moving to the London office of the Bermuda Department of Tourism, where she helped promote the Island in Europe.

Three years later, she joined Trusthouse Forte Hotels International as its corporate sales manager, being responsible for promoting all THF properties worldwide to the Canadian corporate market.

In 1982, she returned home to Bermuda as director of sales of Bermuda Ocean Shipping Services and then returned to the hotel industry by becoming sales and convention manager at Marriott's Castle Harbour Resort.

In 1989, she joined Safaris, Inc., which specialised in theme events, and then went on to join Harnett and Richardson, where she worked prior to joining Bermuda Small Properties.

Charles Fox , 18, has been presented with a $1,500 scholarship given by Sonesta Beach Hotel. Mr. Fox's mother, Coralie, works at the hotel.

The 18-year-old graduate of Sandys Secondary School is currently studying at Fryburg Academy, Maine.

On completion of his course, Mr. Fox aims to move to St. Mary's College in Canada to pursue studies in physical education or computer science.

Richard Glenn Weech , from Gray and Kempe to Chevron.
