Busy week in Bermuda's ports
celebrations for the Queen's Birthday.
Both the Somers Isles and the Bermuda Islander arrived during local festivities.
The Somers Isles brought in a total of 95 containers (including ten refrigerated) and four boats.
And the Bermuda Islander carried 91 dry containers, 16 refrigerated containers, and two horses.
The Oleander arrived on schedule on Sunday this week with 138 dry containers, 31 refrigerated, two flatbeds of structured steel, 31 cars, one bulldozer, and one boat.
The Norwegian Crown and Zenith also arrived on Monday. On board the Norwegian Crown were 1,093 passengers, and the Zenith carried 1,403.
The two cruise ships will leave today.
Both the Horizon and the Norwegian Majesty arrived on Tuesday with 1,553 and 1,139 passengers, respectively.
The Horizon departs this afternoon and the Norwegian Majesty will leave tomorrow.
Also on Tuesday, the Song of America arrived in St. George's with 1,457 passengers. She moved to Hamilton yesterday and is scheduled to leave tomorrow.
Last Saturday the freight vessel Hermann Matern waited offshore as local doctors treated a crew member's injured hand.
The frozen meat freighter was registered in Cyprus and continued on its way to Latvia after a brief wait.
In the Dockyard two Cable and Wireless ships are currently working together.
Baltimar Okeanos , the cable transporter from Australia which arrived last week, is transferring cable to the Agile .
Both ships are expected to be in Bermuda for about two weeks.
