The motor vessel Balaton has main engine problems and requires repairs to her superstructure, Capt. John Moore of Meyer Agencies Ltd. said yesterday.

The tug Alexandria was pulling her to Bermuda from a point 360 miles southeast of the Island, Capt. Moore said.

The ships were expected to arrive on Monday evening.

Capt. Moore said he could not confirm a report that Balaton was in collision with her sister ship after the sister ship came alongside to help with the engine problem.

"I know her sister ship was out there,'' he said.
