Docks hopping with cruisers and containers
and cruise liners arriving on the Island.
On Monday the 360-foot cargo ship Somers Isles left for Florida after dropping off a cargo of 120 containers, two boats, a truck, 35 bundles of lumber and eight bundles of steel piping.
The Oleander brought in a massive load on Sunday, including 157 containers, 20 cars, an excavator and a boat.
The Bermuda Islander arrived in Hamilton on Monday to deliver 105 containers, including 15 refrigerator containers. The vessel returned to New Jersey on Tuesday.
And thousands of visitors sailed into the Island throughout the week.
The Norwegian Crown , carrying more than 1,050 passengers, berthed at St.
George's on Monday before sailing on to Hamilton. The vessel returned to New York on Tuesday afternoon.
The oceanliner Zenith , with 1,404 guests on board, arrived at Number One dock on Tuesday. She shifted to St. George's yesterday morning and will head home to New York this afternoon.
And the cruiseship Horizon arrived at Dockyard on Tuesday afternoon bringing 1,435 visitors to the Island. The Philadelphia-based liner is expected to transfer to Hamilton today before leaving the Island tomorrow.
The Norwegian Majesty arrived at Ordnance Island on Tuesday morning and will stay until tomorrow.
Song of America , carrying 1,441 passengers docked in St. George's on Tuesday and will return to New York tomorrow.
The giant 560-foot long tanker MT Euplecta will be docking in St. George's on Saturday after sailing from Haiti. She will be dropping off 40,000 barrels of jet fuel and 35,000 barrels of gasoline.
More than 3,600 tonnes of cement will be arriving when the carrier Cemtrader arrives on Sunday.
And the fuel tanker LPGC Emsgas will be dropping off 7,900 barrels of propane on Monday morning.
