Docksiders Bermuda's passenger and freight docks were a hive of activity this week as over 3,500 visitors arrived together with a variety of cargo.
All the major cruise lines have had vessels in the Island -- at Dockyard, St.
George's and Hamilton.
In addition several private `Super Yachts' called in at St. George's on their way to other parts.
And on a military note the British nuclear submarine HMS Trafalgar left Dockyard on Sunday after a five-day visit.
On Friday the Norwegian Crown arrived at Hamilton from Charleston, South Carolina, with 972 passengers on board, said George Butterfield of Meyer Agencies.
She sailed on Sunday for Halifax, where she will operate from for two weeks, before starting her regular weekly trips from New York to Bermuda on May 4.
Also on Sunday, Celebrity Cruises' MV Horizon arrived at Dockyard from Port Everglades with 1,306 people, sailing on Tuesday.
At St. George's the Norwegian Majesty brought 1,247 people in yesterday, departing for Boston tomorrow.
Also tomorrow, John. S. Darrell report the arrival of the MV Blackwatch , due to depart on Saturday.
And in Hamilton the Cunard Royal Viking Sun arrived on Saturday, leaving the following day.
On the freight side, Meyer Agencies had the Californian Highway car ship in on Friday, from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, with 112 cars and 27 cases of spare parts.
It departed the same day.
On Monday the Bermuda Islander brought 129 containers and one boat from Salem, New Jersey -- sailing back there on Tuesday.
Robert Lewis of Container Ship Management said the Oleander arrived on Sunday with a total of 156 containers, a trailer, six cars and one truck.
