Mary Ann Cavlin will join some 30 vendors at the Bermuda Wedding Associates' annual Bridal Fair 1997 on Sunday.

Ms Cavlin will be updating local brides and grooms on the current wedding trends and fashions. Slides from the most recent runway shows in New York will also be featured.

Brides who register at the fair will have the chance to win a honeymoon getaway to the Turnberry Isle Resort Club in Florida.

The three-hour fair will get underway at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the Clocktower Mall. Admission will be $6.

CREW MAN INJURED SHI HTH AC Crew man injured A man with head injuries was evacuated from the Dutch-registered cargo ship Unitrader during the early hours of yesterday morning.

The medical evacuation took place at Five Fathom Hole in St. George's and once completed, the vessel continued onto the United States.

Harbour Radio said the ship was en route from South Africa to Philadelphia when a senior deck hand fell and struck his head.

The crew was unable to stop the bleeding and requested guidance from Harbour Radio.

The man, whose identity was not known by local authorities, was transferred to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Neither Harbour Radio nor local shipping agents Meyer Agency had any news on the status of the injured man.

OPEN HOUSE TONIGHT POL Open house tonight Some 57 residents have expressed an interest in signing up with the Bermuda Police Reserves since the recent launching of a recruitment drive.

With interest still running high, Acting Commandant Calvin Hollis has announced a second open house will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at the Reserve's Prospect headquarters, at Prospect Hill, Devonshire.
