Bermuda-based Everest Capital sold 298,954 shares in the closed-end fund for $23.77 each on March 27. The investor retained no shares, according to the Schedule 13D Amendment filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The money manager, based on Church Street, acquired a 9.9 percent stake in the mutual fund on October 18, purchasing 500,000 shares for $20 each, the filing said.

Morgan Stanley Russia fund shares fell 1/8 to 23 3/4 in afternoon trading.
