Global Crossing launches e-gov't service

Solutions Group to provide communications products and services to e-government enterprises over the world over its fibre-optic network. And the Bermuda-based company claims that it will be able to competitively price its bids and deploy solutions more quickly than its competitors. The Global Government Solutions Group has already snagged a contract from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to provide and service a virtual private network linking.
"This new division will allow us to better serve the government market with our unique portfolio of telecommunications assets,'' said Paul Kayatta, President of Global Government Solutions.
