Ltd., and blue chip Bermuda reinsurer, Mid Ocean Ltd. will merge, new appointments have been named at the latter's operating subsidiary, Mid Ocean Reinsurance Co. Ltd.

Mark Hiller has been appointed vice president and underwriter, aviation, and will be responsible for aviation underwriting in Mid Ocean Re's London branch office.

And Peter Llewellyn has been promoted to assistant vice president, information technology.

Mr. Hiller had written aviation business for Zurich Re in Switzerland and had previously held underwriting positions with Lloyd's Aviation Syndicate.

Mr. Llewellyn has been a member of the Mid Ocean Re's information technology team since leaving Bermuda Computer Services, Ltd. in 1994. The team is charged with ensuring that the company's systems and processes are adequate for current and future growth.
