Elusive Cruises has been operated by Ms Virginia Watlington for two years. Her mother, Mrs. Jennifer Watlington said: "It is the only boat company on the Island that is operated by a Bermudian woman.'' Ms Watlington, aged 22, received financial backing from the Bank of Bermuda at the outset. She decided it would be "sensible'' to create a limited liability company, although her mother stressed the company was not threatened by any legal action.
Ms Watlington's business offers private charters, regular snorkelling and sightseeing trips. Her 44-foot Marine Trader Elusive is licensed to carry 30 passengers and offers cruises through the islands in the Great Sound, trips to the wreck, the Vixen , and to reefs.
