Argus closed up 12.5 cents at $10.75 on volume of 10,000.

Issues closing unchanged were; Bank of Butterfield, $10.50, 5,140, Bermuda Commercial Bank, $5, 11,520, Staples preferred, $8.875, 2,212, Bermuda Container Line, $3.25, 2,700 and Belco, $20, 2,385.

The exchange closed down 2.58 points or .26 percent at 995.16.

Share volume was 35,183 with a share value of $329,109.50.
