index for the week at 1,184.24. The share volume for the day totalled just 4,844, for a value of $98,207.

The bond volume was 79,000 at a value of $81,850.

BELCO 7% 1st Mortgage notes '98 dropped by $2 to $100 over a volume trade of 39,000. And the Bank of Bermuda 9% US$ Notes sold 40,000 for the unchanged price of 1071 .

There was one gainer, Bermuda Bakery Ltd., after 1,000 shares were sold at a price of $19, up by 75 cents.

BELCO traded at an unchanged price of $20 on a volume of 2,356.

Also trading were the Bank of Bermuda unchanged at $23 on a volume of 1,298 and Bermuda Commercial Bank, unchnaged at $11.75 on a volume of 190.
