Bank of Butterfield closed down 12.5 cents at $10.875 on volume of 1,380 while Argus closed down 12.5 cents at $10.375 on volume of 200.

Bank of Bermuda closed unchanged at $18.25 on volume of 1,014.

Bermuda Home closed unchanged at $9 on volume of 2,314.

Bermuda Press Holdings closed unchanged at $8.50 on volume of 58.

The index closed down 2.31 points or .23 percent at 1,007.08.

Share volume was 7,799 with a value of $94,342.25. Absent from the October 30 daily update was a trade of 1,700 shares of Staples preferred which resulted in total value of trading on that day of $260,099.
