Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday, with a volume of 507.

Bank of Butterfield shares went up by 25 cents to $28.50 on a volume of 6,700 and Belco stock also went up by 25 cents to $21.25 on a volume of 1,500.

There was heavy trading in Bermuda Press (Holdings), which publishes The Royal Gazette and Mid-Ocean News newspapers, with 16,055 shares changing hands for an unchanged price of $9 per share.

Also trading at unchanged values were Argus Insurance, whose stock closed at $11.50, with a volume of 625; and Bank of Bermuda, $24.25, 10,151.

The Exchange Index closed at 1,194.61 -- up by 1.95.
