Making conventional cleaning obsolete
systems made by Ohio-based manufacturer Filter Queen.
Filter Queen Bermuda is run by 28-year-old Mr. Raynard Smith from offices on the corner of Dundonald and Princess Streets, in Hamilton.
"We're offering cleaning systems that make vacuum cleaning, steam cleaning and shampooing obsolete,'' said Mr. Smith.
His main product is the Filter Queen Majestic 65, which is a portable air filtration system that, according to Mr. Smith, "traps dust and bacteria as small as 0.2 of a micron (a thousandth of a millimetre)''.
"It can also trap over 300 gases and other odours as well,'' said Mr. Smith.
Attachments can be bought which turn the system into a "high-tech, total home care system'', he added.
"It is particularly suitable for asthma sufferers and people with sinus and respiratory problems,'' he said. "It's been recommended by allergy self-help organisations.
"The Filter Queen system is also used by over ten different airlines, including Delta and TWA.'' The basic portable Filter Queen system retails for about $700, which Mr. Smith said was "comparable with other cleaning systems''.
He added: "What makes our product unique is that it comes with a two-year unconditional warranty.
"There is also a lifetime service guarantee whereby, if anything goes wrong, the unit will be repaired as a cost to the user of no more than $60 to $100.
"Also, any technological advances to the unit will be added for a cost of no more than $60 to $100.'' One of the additions to the unit was a turbine compressor which can jet out a stream of air to unblock drainage pipes, toilets and other household items, said Mr. Smith.
"This product is a step into the future which makes conventional forms of cleaning obsolete,'' he said.
