1,406.19 yesterday, the second time in as many weeks, as 50,495 shares traded at a value of $918,812.25. Advancers led decliners four to two.

In mixed bank stocks, Bank of Bermuda finished $0.125 higher at $28.625 on a volume of 11,500 and Bermuda Commercial Bank was also $0.125 higher at $5.25 on a volume of 1,800.

Some 32,579 Bank of Butterfield shares traded, before the unchanged closing price of $16.25. Bermuda Home lost 25 cents, closing at $8.75 on a volume of 878.

Bermuda Press (Holdings) was up 25 cents to $10.50 as 3,094 shares changed hands. Also closing higher was Bermuda Telephone Co., up 75 cents to $33.75 on trading of 302 shares.

Watlington Waterworks was down 50 cents for the day to $6 on a volume of 200.
