The Atlantic Forest left local waters on Tuesday after she began leaking what was believed to be fuel oil near the East End.

However, marine officials said the spill did not present a threat to the Island as winds were pushing it offshore.

In other news, local ports were quiet this week with only regularly scheduled visitors coming to the Island.

The Oleander arrived on Sunday with 141 dry and 26 refrigerated containers, bundles of steel, three cars, one tractor and a bus for the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

And the next day, the Somers Isles delivered 107 dry and 8 refrigerated containers.

The Bermuda Islander is due to arrive tomorrow with 104 dry and 15 refrigerated containers.
