A blow-out at the Belmont sub-station on Middle Road, Warwick, caused power cuts around 8 30 p.m. on Saturday night in large areas of Warwick, parts of Somerset, Southampton and Paget. Many affected homes had power back less than two hours later, while most were back on line by 6.30 a.m. on Sunday. Power to branch lines was restored by Sunday afternoon.
