QE2 to make call
Carrying 1,636 passengers, the cruise vessel is expected to anchor in the Great Sound for a day, before departing on Friday. Government tenders will be used to transport passengers to land.
The ship is coming from the Azores and will head for Miami after departing Bermuda.
Another addition to the regular schedule, Silver Wind arrived on Monday from New York with 230 people on board. It berthed in Hamilton, before shifting to the Great Sound and sailing yesterday.
The Horizon brought 1,355 passengers from New York on Monday and its sister ship the Zenith came in with 1,353 visitors. The Norwegian Majesty arrived yesterday in St. George's.
John S. Darrell reported the Nordic Empress in and the Pacific Princess arrived with 514 passengers.
Container Ship Management reported the Oleander in with 124 dry containers, 31 refrigerated, 19 cars and two trucks. It came in on Sunday and left yesterday.
Meyer also reported the arrival of the Somers Isles from Florida yesterday. It brought 107 containers, including seven refrigerated, two trucks and 78 bundles of building material. She sails tomorrow.
The Bermuda Islander is due in tomorrow with 110 containers, including 21 refrigerated.
