its cedant and broker customers.

There will be five dedicated underwriting teams each with a clear customer focus: national accounts; regional accounts; specialty casualty; programmes; specialty lines.

The national accounts, regional accounts and programme teams will underwrite both property and casualty reinsurance. Professional liability, umbrella, environmental, E&S and workers compensation reinsurance will be underwritten by the specialty casualty team and surety, agricultural, aviation and marine reinsurance will be the domain of the specialty lines team.

Dennis Giannos will be promoted to executive vice president to lead the national and regional accounts teams. He will also be responsible for coordinating marketing activities across the entire PartnerRe organisation.

Dick Sanford will also be promoted, to senior vice president, to lead the specialty casualty team.

The programme team will be led by John Peppard, and Jean-Pierre Fillebeen will continue to lead the specialty lines work. All the underwriting teams will continue to report to Robin Williams, executive vice president and chief underwriting officer.

This will be effective from 12.01 am Eastern Standard Time on Friday March 30th 2001.
