BERMUDA International Business Association yesterday launched a re-vamped and modernised website.

The new pages, found at www.biba.org, contain a scrolling information page, Bermuda related business articles and a link portal to other sites.

BIBA's Marketing Manager and architect of the site, Ross Webber said: "Bermuda's reputation as an international business leader continues to grow and this site augments that status by supplying the critical information people around the world are seeking about our island's capabilities and offerings in this regard.'' The site will keep the name www.biba.org for continuity and ease of reference.

A new addition is a section with information, research, documentation and resource material from a variety of sources relating to business in Bermuda.

This will include articles, speeches, brochures, fact sheets, legislation documents, PowerPoint presentations and BIBA's annual report.

Other features include a complete listing of BIBA members with their contact details and a listing of BIBA's committees and their composition.

BIBA's newsletter will now also be on-line.

The link, www.bermuda-inc.com, is a directory portal providing links and information to relevant sites.

BIBA modernises website The categories of Bermuda-Inc. include Government departments and agencies, official bodies, business sites of interest and the much vaunted e-commerce service provider directory.

This directory will make searching for Bermuda's e-commerce related services significantly easier for the cyberspace browser.

Mr. Webber added: "I am very pleased that this project was put together with Bermuda-based partners.

"It is important for us as an organisation and Bermuda as a jurisdiction to demonstrate by our actions that our service providers rank amongst the best in the world.

"By using local partners for such a major and important product we have clearly indicated our faith and knowledge that Bermuda truly is the enablement island for e-business.''
