Sun control put into voluntary liquidation
application to voluntarily wind up the firm.
The company, which sells and rents doors, windows, shutters, awnings, tents and construction materials, is believed to be no longer operational.
Day-to-day control of the company was transferred several months ago from Mr.
Scott Stewart and his family to Darrell Contracting under an agreement of sale.
But sources in the industry said that the proposed sale price was never met and the deal fell through before it was completed.
Problems with the deal led to the current application by the Stewart family to wind-up the company, said sources.
The Sun Control Company's lawyer, Mr. Justin Williams, said that the winding-up petition is due to be heard on September 24, 1993.
He added: "The company has applied and obtained the appointment of a provisional liquidator, law firm Appleby, Spurling & Kempe.'' A spokesman for Darrell Contracting, who would not give his name, declined to comment.
