Gains in financial stocks failed to offset a heavy fall in Telco stock, which slumped $1.75 to $35.25 on volume of 242 shares.

Bermuda Commercial Bank gained 25 cents to close at $5.25 on volume of 1,000 shares. Bermuda Home shares closed at $9.625, up 25 cents, on volume of 310 shares, while Bank of Bermuda warrants edged up 12.5 cents to close at $2.25 on volume of 34.

Total volume for the day was 1,586 shares, worth $17,003.25.
