Bank of Bermuda's gain of 50 cents to close at $45.00 was offset by Bank of Butterfield's loss of 50 cents to close at $25.50.

The only other stock to change hands was Belco, which lost $1.00 to close at $22.00.

The index closed down 0.81 points or 0.04 percent on a volume of 16,279 shares worth $717,377.50.
