The Bermuda Stock Exchange index lost some ground yesterday, falling 9.73 points after Bank of Bermuda dropped 25 cents to close at $40.00.

The main volume of the 22,900 shares worth $906,250 traded -- nearly 98 percent -- were Bank of Bermuda.
The only other stock to change hands was BELCO Holdings, which lost 50 cents to close at $20.50.
The index closed down 0.5 percent at 1,952.19.
