The most surprising event of the day was trading in Masters stock, which has not moved since June last year. Stock gained 40 percent, or $2.00 in a single day, trading 1,500 shares and closing at $7.00.

Watlington Waterworks, which has not traded since July last year, lost $1.00 or 25 percent after trading just 300 shares to close at its 52 week low of $3.00.

Bank of Bermuda gained $1.50 or 3.4 percent to close at $45.00 while Bank of Butterfield dropped 1 percent or 25 cents to close at $25.50. KeyTec lost $1.20 or 3.3 percent to close at $35.30.

The index closed up 37.24 points on a volume of 44,151 shares worth $1,392,741.
