Manager Nelda Simons said it was as a result of Public Transport Board director Herman Basden's decision to stop the buses at 5.15 p.m.

"Once the buses stop the entire Island stops moving,'' Ms Simons said. "So we decided to close for the night.'' Similarly, at The New Somers Playhouse, a taped message warned potential viewers that the movie house was closed Thursday night but would re-open last night as will Liberty and Neptune Theatres.
