Several major US travel companies will be meeting with hoteliers to plan the summer ahead during a two-day meeting this week.

And it follows a summit between hotel owners and Government, which is taking place today and tomorrow.

Bermuda Hotel Association executive director John Harvey said the wholesalers' meeting was a chance to review the business and look forward to the season ahead.

"These are our biggest suppliers of business. We review with them the current business, past business and how can we work together to improve things,'' he said.

Bermuda Tourism officials will also take the opportunity to share their upcoming marketing campaign.

Director Gary Phillips said it would give the wholesalers a look at what the focus will be and the positioning in the market.

The meeting between Government and hotel owners follows summits held in Boston earlier in the year.

They are intended to forge closer relationships between the two and are usually led by Premier Jennifer Smith and Sonesta Corporation president Stephanie Sonnabend.
