Her responsibilities focus on accounts receivable, inventory control, costing and customs entries.

She has been through two accounting systems.

"A few years ago I had an old Macintosh and now I am using Great Plains software on a more modern computer system. I feel comfortable with what I know as I have received a lot of training,'' Mrs. Adcock said.

One of the aspects of work she most enjoys is dealing with people.

She prepares the monthly statements and when people have problems they call her.

"One of the most creative aspects of my work is making it all balance! I love the quiet of my office but when we get four containers in at once that increases my stress level a little,'' she said with a smile.

Away from the job Mrs. Adcock relaxes by gardening and bird watching.

She advises she talks to her plants and they respond well to her conversation.

"I have a neighbour who plays Italian opera to his tomatoes and they are beauties,'' she concluded.

Bookkeeper: Lana Adcock is TreeCon's senior bookkeeper and loves those receivables.
