UPS manager Eddie Lamb predicted the strike which crippled America's largest courier company will be all over in two or three days.
This will be good news for two local UPS staff who were laid off due to the strike, with the promise of reinstatement as soon as it was over.
"I'm expecting a real upsurge in business when things get back to normal,'' Mr. Lamb said. "The light at the end of the tunnel is much brighter.'' According to the local manager, the entire courier business has been affected by UPS' woes.
"Of course, we haven't been doing any business, and the other companies can't keep up with the extra demand.'' UPS pact goes to vote: Page 7 UNIONS UNS
