AA general manager Carole DeCouto yesterday confirmed that today's inbound New York flight and tomorrow morning's departure had both been cancelled.

It was unclear yesterday whether more scheduled services would also be cut.

The cancellations came as AA officials tried to use the courts to order pilots to work overtime and to get those who had been calling in sick back to work.

The unrest is over pay conditions for pilots of Reno Air, which American Airlines is due to merge with.
