She accused the owner, Mr. Dennis Laws, of running a "scam''.

The mixologist told The Royal Gazette that she took her car to the company after reading its advertisement.

She said she wanted to get it ready early for its Transport Control Department inspection.

The ad said dents and rust on a car would be repaired for $550 but Ms Goater ended up being charged $650 with the extra $100 being for paint, she said.

And when she got her car back, a small dent to its front had been repaired but about 75 percent of its rust was untouched.

And the rust spots that could be easily seen were simply painted over, she added.

Ms Goater said she took the car back and explained to the company's owner that the job had been done poorly.

He offered to have another look at it, so she left it with him over the weekend.

When she got it back, her temper hit boiling point, she said.

A hole in the door had been filled in with putty, and then smoothed down by someone's fingers -- it was not even sanded afterward, she said.

And duct tape she had put down to cover rust before taking the car to the shop had not been removed -- only painted over, she added.

Now the owner was not returning her calls and she still had to pass her car at TCD.

This meant she was being forced to take her car to another repairman while Bermuda Radiator Services pocketed her money.

And she was forced to pay for cabs for transport while the car spent more time in the shop.

When contacted yesterday, Mr. Laws slammed the accusations.

"We don't leave any customer's car undone,'' he said, adding that he had tried to get in touch with Ms Goater since she had called him.

"She must point out the problem to me. She should come in and speak to us if something has been overlooked.

"She seems to be one of those customers you just can't please,'' he added.
