an apology, saying the company needs to be "exposed for what they really are''.

This came from Mrs. Delores Lightbourne who said she has done business with Baptiste Builders Supply Ltd. in Warwick.

But last Wednesday, after she received a wrong order of merchandise, she claims the company was very rude to her and "hung the phone up in her ear'' after she told them it was their responsibility to collect the order and deliver the correct one''.

"On August 23, I was sent two items from an $8,000 order -- two sinks and two basket strainers, which I did not order, and I asked the trucker where the right hand bath tub, double windows and my three hot water heaters were,'' Mrs. Lightbourne said.

She added that when she called Baptiste, they told her they had sold her a double window. And they said that when she returned the wrong items they would give her the right ones.

"I told them I paid the trucker, and it was not right to only send part of my order. They wanted me to pay the trucker again to deliver the rest of my order but this was their error.

"When I called to complain, I asked to speak to the boss and the person on the phone said everyone was the boss at Baptiste.'' Mrs. Lightbourne said when she called back later, the warehouse manager answered and he agreed to bring the wrong order back from her house and told the trucker not to charge her a second time.

"They were rude to me and I decided to report them to Consumer Affairs. How could they put the blame on me. They are still angry because I wouldn't pay to take the stuff back even when they were the wrong things.

"They need to be exposed for what they are, they should be fired. I expect an apology but they seem to be looking for a fight. And now they are saying that they don't want my business.'' An spokesman for Baptiste Builders Supply Ltd. said Ms Lightbourne had contacted Consumer Affairs and "they saw the light and did not do anything about it''.

Ms Sue Davis of Consumer Affairs said: "Mrs. Lightbourne contacted us and asked us to try to facilitate the matter and we were unable to satisfy her request.

"We recommended that if she was not satisfied she should consult her own lawyer.''
