insurer with Bermuda offices, said yesterday the US Chamber of Commerce endorsed the company's SunAmerica pension products for sale to the business group's approximately three million member companies.

The endorsement could lead to substantial growth for AIG's pensions, savings and annuities operation SunAmerica, analysts said.

"It's phenomenal,'' said Bear Stearns insurance analyst Michael Smith.

"When you get endorsement from a national organisation, it becomes an enormously effectively sales tool -- especially the Chamber of Commerce, which covers all industries,'' he added.
