Argus set to offer pre-retirement help
The Argus Group has launched its Executive Retirement Planning Programme for senior managers and key employees who expect to retire within the next 20 years.
Argus has partnered with Myera Inc., a provider of life transitional programmes, to offer the new one-day workshop.
The morning session will include the Myera.MyLife workshop run by a Myera professional and will help participants feel more positive and excited about life after work, as well as motivated to participate in self-improvement initiatives, such as educational, wellness, travel and volunteer programmes, the company said.
Participants will develop an action plan for the lifestyle they want to follow in retirement, based on realistic expectations and personally defined goals.
This is followed in the afternoon by a Myera.MyFinancialComfort workshop, exclusive to Argus, delivered by a Myera-certified Argus expert. The session will enable attendees to put the lifestyle goals they identified into a financial context and develop strategies to improve their financial comfort.
The Argus Group has also developed MyArgusSolutions, five bundled product solutions that offer integrated and flexible product features designed to meet the needs of customers planning for retirement.
Within each package, insurance, savings and/or annuity products have been carefully combined to ensure that assets are protected for the lifestyle that individuals plan to lead in retirement, whether their priority is travelling, looking after their family, starting a new business, protecting their wealth or finding personal fulfilment.
Each one can be customised with additional optional products and services to suit the individual and are available to buy for those who are not able to attend the workshop.
Karen Schellinck, president of Myera Inc., said: "We are pleased to be partnering with the Argus Group to offer this service. Our goal is to inspire people to envision a full and deeply satisfying life which we like to call 'Myera'.
"Making the transition from employment to retirement can seem overwhelming and a worrying prospect. The Myera workshops are designed to provide clarity and peace of mind. We encourage people to explore the myriad of opportunities the future holds and then create their own goals and a well-defined action plan to meet those goals."
Joy Pimental, executive vice-president of marketing at the Argus Group, said: "In launching the Executive Retirement Planning Programme, we have taken the opportunity to focus on the lifestyle needs of our clients and provide proactive and innovative solutions to fulfil those needs.
"Argus was the first insurance provider to launch a wellness programme in Bermuda and is concerned not only with ensuring the physical health of our clients, but also their financial and mental well-being. We are confident that this programme will help our clients feel prepared and positive about their retirement."
The free workshops will be scheduled throughout the year and anyone interested in attending can contact the Argus Myera hotline on 294-5777 or email insurance@argus.bm for more information.
