BCB's phishing warning
Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. (BCB) has warned its customers to be vigilant against phishing attacks after an illegal website was set up at http://www.bermudabnk.com
A spokesman for BCB said the bank had looked at the site, which has been blocked and is inactive, while it is also speaking with the relevant domain registrar about matter.
"It is good to be wary of phishing attacks," he said. "We post a warning about phishing on our ebanking website, and provide our clients with further reminders using the ebanking built-in messaging system.
"We do not ever send out e-mails asking clients for personal details. If any of our clients suspect that they have fallen victim to a phishing site, have given out sensitive information, or are in any way concerned about ebanking security they should contact us at once and we will assist them."
