The Bee's Knees: The lack of cruise ships in Hamilton has driven its owner to close the business.
Souvenir store The Bee's Knees Ltd. is to close next week with the loss of two jobs.The owner, who asked not to be named, said the lack of cruise ships in Hamilton meant the business was no longer sustainable."Although we will have a ship coming to Hamilton this year, my experience of last year makes me think that we will not be able to survive," the owner said.

The owner, who asked not to be named, said the lack of cruise ships in Hamilton meant the business was no longer sustainable.
"Although we will have a ship coming to Hamilton this year, my experience of last year makes me think that we will not be able to survive," the owner said.
"The rents on Front Street keep going up every year, which doesn't help."
The Bee's Knees had scaled down its workforce from four to two in recent months.
Over the next few days The Bee's Knees, which specialised in clothing and gifts, will aim to sell off its fixtures, including clothing racks and shelving.
