Berlin airports hit by walkout

BERLIN (AP) – Officials said ground staff at Berlin's two airports walked off their jobs to demand higher wages, disrupting baggage handling at the capital's main Tegel airport yesterday.

Susanne Kahrland, a spokeswoman for Globe Ground Berlin, said employees for her company and two others that handle ground services walked off their jobs at 4 p.m.
